Description
Sugar Factory in Suriname
In Suriname (a Dutch colony in South America), many factories are experiencing difficulties and suffer losses. Only big factories can still make profits. The weather and the soil in Suriname is suitable for growing sugar cane, but the fees for porters, maintenance, and other necessities are more expensive than in Java. Furthermore, the procedures to plant sugar cane there are not as easy as in Java either.
