It is commonly known in Indonesia that a figure whose real name is Raden Soewardi Soerjaningrat or known as Ki Hajar Dewantara, is the Father of Indonesian Education. We know his thoughts through the motto Tut Wuri Handayani (From behind a teacher must be able to provide encouragement and direction) which is contained in the school uniform logo and also the logo of the Ministry of Education & Culture of Indonesia (Kemdikbud). Although many of us call him the Father of Indonesian Education, not many have read the book Education written by Ki Hajar Dewantara.
