This
painting is entitled Reclining Nude which was made by Pierre-Auguste
Renoir in 1883. This painting is one of the masterpieces of Renoir's many
nudist works. In the 1880s, Renoir sought inspiration from nudist works and was
very obsessed with making nudist paintings. Renoir painted this nudist
painting, inspired by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, a French neo-classical
painter who is famous for his paintings with orientalist themes as well as his
nudist paintings. This Reclining Nude was created by Renoir, as a
tribute to Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres. This work takes inspiration from
Ingres' painting Grande Odalisque (1814).
