In China, when facing a long dry season, people there usually go to temples and pray to their tepekong (ancestral spirits), summoning for rain. A village in Sumedang, has a more or less similar tradition. Their ritual summoning the rain includes parading a wild cat (Taij oetjing garong) to the river and bathing it there.
