Indonesia di Pasifik: Analisa Masalah-Masalah Pokok Asia-Pasifik (Indonesia in the Pacific: Analysis of Asia-Pacific Key Issues) is a geopolitical analysis book written by Sam Ratulangi, a National Hero of Indonesia and one of the drafters of the 1945 Constitution. Sam Ratulangi in 1937 wrote a book, Indonesia in de Pacific which he wrote in Dutch. . This book was later translated and published after Indonesia's independence under the title Indonesia in the Pacific: Analysis of Key Asia-Pacific Problems. At the time, this book was considered a geopolitical analysis of Indonesia which was considered sharp, accurate, and visionary. Moreover, it was rare for Indonesians to write geopolitical books at that time. Sam Ratulangi saw the symptoms of Japanese militarization and predicted the possibility that Japan might attack the Indonesian archipelago because of its natural resources that Japan did not have. This analysis was underestimated at first by the Dutch. But history proves Sam Ratulangi was right, Japan attacked Indonesia in 1942 and defeated the Dutch. Sam Ratulangi also in this book describes the main role Indonesia and other countries in Southeast Asia around the Pacific Rim can play where the Pacific Ocean can equal the importance of the Atlantic Ocean.
