During his time as a teacher, Ben experienced economic difficulties, because of serious work, the salary was joking. This makes Ben look for any kind of side work, including manual work. This is different from his fellow teachers who are not willing to work hard for a sideline, as Ben did. But Ben in the end began to act lawful and unlawful, for the sake of money. Finally Ben began to wallow in sin, with his attitude that began to be immoral and accept illegal money. This novel finally invites readers to realize that the teaching profession should not be taken lightly. Although now the fate of teachers has changed a lot compared to before, the salaries have started to be decent. However, this is only enjoyed by state employees teachers and teachers working in the elite private schools. Misery like Ben's is still common among honorary teachers.
