Upon request of many readers, the editor publishes a warning letter from the Resident of Priangan, J. Heitjing, in this newspaper. The letter contains information as well as a warning to the Assistant Resident to remind the local landlords about whether they have allowed Chinese people to enter the villages in Priangan. The arrivals of Chinese people often recognized as a positive influence to the economy. However, they are also dangerous because of the opium (poppy) they carry. In Central and East Java, opium has damaged many communities and caused crime. In addition, the letter also reprimands the native Priangan people to not let the Chinese people taking control of various fields of work in the land of Priangan, that will eventually get rid of the natives.
