The Perburuan (Hunting) Novel tells the story of Den Hardo who becomes Shodanco, the team leader in the PETA troops formed by the Japanese. his friends, namely Karmin and Dipo, planned to carry out a rebellion against the Japanese in Blitar. Unfortunately, their plan failed miserably. The plan failed because of Karmin's betrayal. The consequence of this is the start of Den Hardo and Dipo's lives in hunting and pursuit by the Japanese authorities. Perburuan (Hunting) novel was inspired by the PETA Rebellion in Blitar on February 14, 1945, which was led by Supriyadi. After losing in Blitar, Supriyadi was never heard of and is believed to be living in hiding. The belief that Supriyadi was still alive led Sukarno to appoint Supriyadi as the first Indonesian Minister of Defense in 1945. However, Supriyadi did not appear to accept his position. So many people think that Supriyadi is dead and his body is obliterated. Until now, Supriyadi's tracks are still a mystery in Indonesian history. This novel is believed to be an alternative historical novel about the PETA Rebellion in Blitar.
