This painting entitled Bathsheba at Her Bath was painted by Rembrandt in 1654. This painting was inspired by one of the stories from the Old Testament. This painting depicts Bathsheba, wife of Uriah the Hittite taking a bath. At that time King David from above his palace accidentally saw Bathsheba. According to a story from a Bible source, David then took him to sleep with him. But then Bathsheba became pregnant, realizing this. David realized that he was the father of the baby. Then David ordered his generals for Uriah to go to the battlefield and be put in the front row. The battlefield took place, then Uriah died on the battlefield. King David saw the opportunity and then, immediately marry the widow of Uriah.
