Description
This painting is entitled Harlequin with
Glass which was made by Picasso in 1905. This painting was made when
Picasso had not yet started the cubism movement that he started in 1910. This
work is still considered one of Picasso's masterpieces. This painting is
inspired by the circus performances that Picasso often witnessed and also the
atmosphere at the Lapin Agile Cabaret, where Picasso often watched performances
there. This painting is considered a turning point in Picasso's life because
for the first time in his life he was no longer pessimistic in his career and
began to celebrate life.
