Illegal Opium Smuggler Got Arrested
A Chinese man named IJo Tjam Tjoeij was arrested by the police for hiding 3 tails (113.4 grams) of opium. In his pocket, a bag of lime leaves was also found. He intended to sell the opium to villagers in Garut. The opium was hidden in the bottom of a god statue that he brought. He was sentenced to 3 months of forced labor.
