BINTANG BETAWI Batavia (Jakarta) – Friday Edition, March 4, 1904
Description
Letters from Readers
The Muslim communities in villages have requested that the Weltevreden Post Office in Batavia promptly checks the professionalism of its postal service officers. Postal officers are considered discriminating the Muslim letter recipients. There have been too many times when their letters arrived late, up to four, even five days from the postage stamp. Meanwhile, letters addressed to Europeans always arrive on time. If this discrimination in services continued, the communities demand the Post Office to immediately replace the postal officers who are considered negligent.
