Cocoa powder or chocolate is now widely available in the island of Java. According to doctors, chocolate is good for health. Cocoa beans are native to Central and South America. Mexicans have always loved to drink chocolate that is fried, ground, and then mixed with cold water. It is said that the first chocolate to be exported from America, was brought by the Spaniards to their country in 1520 but at that time, it was kept secret that one should drink it with sugar. Then, chocolate spread to Italy, France, the Netherlands and other European countries around the 17th and 18th centuries.
